Setup Emails for Microsoft Outlook

How To Use Microsoft Outlook Using Our Email Servers

For email accounts that you setup, you should use the following connection details in your email program. We recommend using IMAP for email access:

POP3 Host Address: mail.acshostings.com

IMAP Host Address: mail.acshostings.com

SMTP Host Address: mail.acshostings.com

Username: The email address you created in control panel
Password: As specified in your control panel when created

If you have setup an SSL Certificate you can connect using your domain settings, if not you will get an SSL Certificate warning, you can just accept it and it will still work, but we recommend using mail.acshostings.com for SMTP, POP3 and IMAP

We recommend using mail.acshostings.com or use below once dns has propagated

IMAP Port 143 TLS Encryption and SMTP Port 587 TLS Encryption.

POP3 Host Address: mail.{$service_domain}
If you choose to use POP3 you will have to use Port 110 or 995.

SMTP Host Address: mail.{$service_domain}
Port 587 using TLS Encryption

We only allow encrypted access. Most email clients will autodetect the settings. But if not set automatically have SMTP to use encryption on port 587 or port 25 if 587 does not work.

IMAP Host Address: {$service_domain}
Port 143 using TLS Encryption

Username: The email address you created inside Plesk Panel
Password: As specified in your control panel when created

             Microsoft Outlook Step by Step Instructions

The same concept for this tutorial will be for any email client that does not autodetect TLS Encryption.

Step by step instructions on how to setup Microsoft Outlook using our email server. We tested up to Microsoft Office Outlook 2007, newer versions of Outlook might not have this problem. But the versions we tested seems to not want to autodetect encryption for IMAP/POP/SMTP Outgoing and Incoming email. Since we had to do PCI Compliance we had to restrict passwords from being sent unencrypted, you have to enable encryption for IMAP and SMTP under "More Settings" than

Now click on the "Advanced" tab
Incoming server (IMAP) 143
You can use Port 143 or Port 993 will allow encryption as well.

Use the following type of encrypted connect: TLS or AUTO
Some Outlook accounts you will have to set encryption manually to use TLS which we recommend using Port 143

Outgoing server (SMTP): 587
You can use Port 25 or Port 587 will allow encryption as well.

Use the following type of encrypted connection: TLS or Auto
Some Outlook accounts you will have to set encryption manually to use TLS which we recommend using Port 587

Now click on "More Settings ..."

Click on the "Outgoing Server" Tab and check mark "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" and click on "Use Same Settings As My Incoming Mail Server" or manually type in your full email address and password.

User Name: user@YourDomain.com
Password: Your-PASSWORD

Recommend Not Using POP3, since it will download all emails to your local computer.

But if you do decide to use POP3 you will need to use Port 110 or Port 995
Use the following type of encrypted connection: AUTO if that don't work set to TLS
